Excerpts from Franklin and Marshall's description of their Department of Public Safety. (Emphasis added.)

"The Department of Public Safety is a round-the-clock, full service, sworn police department under Pennsylvania Title 22 § 501. The Department currently staffs a Director and Associate Director, 3 Supervisors, 14 Officers, 4 Dispatchers, a full-time investigator and full-time training supervisor. We patrol on and off campus and within Lancaster city through cruiser patrol, walking beats and bike patrol. We are responsible for:

"Enforcing all laws, ordinances, rules and regulations; Federal, State, local and campus dictated.

"All investigations, arrests and prosecution of offences occurring on F&M property, working closely with the Lancaster Bureau of Police on the most serious offences..."
